About Me
About Me I am a retired nurse originally from Aurora, Illinois, now enjoying an active and fulfilling life in The Villages, Florida, with my husband, John. After many years of serving in nursing and home health care, I retired with deep gratitude for a career rooted in compassion, care, and walking alongside others during some of life’s most vulnerable moments.
Family has always been at the center of my life. John and I are proud parents of our two sons, Brett and Jason, and I treasure the time I spend supporting, encouraging, and celebrating my family. Brett is my favorite and most attractive son, and the other one needs years of therapy. Being both a nurse and a mother shaped my nurturing spirit, and that sense of care continues to guide how I live each day.
In retirement, I’ve embraced community and connection. I enjoy spending time with friends, staying socially active, and remaining deeply connected to my church, where faith and fellowship continue to be a source of strength, comfort, and joy. Whether through conversation, service, or quiet reflection, I value meaningful relationships and moments that bring people together.
My faith is the foundation of my life. I believe God meets us where we are, walks with us through every season, and offers grace for each new day. Blessings On Your Day was created as a place to share encouragement, Scripture, and gentle reflections that point hearts back to hope and God’s abiding presence.
My prayer is that everyone who visits this site feels welcomed, uplifted, and reminded that they are never alone. May each post offer peace, strength, and a small blessing for your day.
My Faith Perspective
My faith is rooted in the simple yet powerful belief that God’s love is real, present, and meant for everyone. I believe Scripture is living and active, offering guidance, comfort, and hope for everyday life—not just in moments of certainty, but especially in times of struggle.
I believe faith is a journey, not a destination. We grow, question, learn, and sometimes stumble along the way. God meets us in all of it—with grace, patience, and mercy. This site is not about having all the answers, but about walking faithfully, one day at a time.
I believe Jesus calls us first and foremost to love—to love God and to love one another with compassion, humility, and kindness. Faith should draw people closer to God, not push them away. It should bring healing, not harm; hope, not fear.
My perspective is shaped by a lifetime of caring for others, listening to their stories, and witnessing both joy and hardship. Through it all, I have seen how God’s presence sustains us, even when life feels uncertain or overwhelming.
At Blessings On Your Day, faith is shared gently and honestly. There is room here for reflection, prayer, encouragement, and growth. Wherever you are on your faith journey—whether strong, searching, or weary—you are welcome here.
I hope that every visit brings a moment of peace, a reminder of God’s faithfulness, and the assurance that you are not alone.
